i love boracay!

Boracay is a tropical island located approximately 315km south of Manila and 2km off the northwest tip of the island of Panay in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. The island was originally home to the Ati tribe. Boracay is part of Aklan Province, which became an independent province on April 25, 1956 It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations and acclaimed as of the best beach in the whole world. The island comprises the barangays Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak (3 of the 17 barangays which make up the municipality of Malay), and is under the administrative control of the Philippine Tourism Authority in coordination with the Provincial Government of Aklan. You can reach the island by air or land and sea travel. Fly from Manila via Kalibo (Aklan’s capital) by Philippine Airline then take a van going to Caticlan or Manila via Caticlan by Air Philippines. The other way is the Roll On Roll On (roro) trip (for those whose budget’s a bit tight).

Boracay's tourism beaches, White Beach (also known as Long Beach) and Bulabog Beach, are located on opposite sides of the island's narrow central area. White Beach faces westwards and Bulabog Beach faces eastwards. White Beach is the longest stretch of sand and the most developed area, lined with variety of establishments (hotels, resto’s and bars serving food and drinks, and stalls selling souvenir items) on one side and with white talcum-fine seashore on the other, it is the favorite area for sun bathing, swimming, cruising on a jet ski, and playing beach volley and Frisbee and of course for picnics. Sunset is also not to be missed. Bulabog Beach, across the island from White Beach, is a secondary tourism beach and Boracay's main w
indsurfing and kiteboarding area, sailboating and kayaking is also a popular sports here, thanks to wind conditions that are favorable for most of the year. If you’re looking for a privacy, Puka Beach is the place to go. Remained quiet and undisturbed by the outside world and named after the precious shells that used to wash up on it’s shore. This is where the locals gathers the shells for some jeweleries sold in the island. Baling Hai Beach - This is a quiet little cove just north of Diniwid Beach, where you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling and dining in a relaxed, peaceful environment. There are some fantastic views from the clifftop restaurant. Baling Hai is often included as a stop-off on an island boat tour

Other adventures are scuba diving, there are several Dive Centers at the White Beach. 25 to 30 dive sites within 15 minutes boat ride from the white beach, it’s suitable for the beginners up to advanced level. Boat riding is a must here, it is a whole day boating for only a few hundred pesos includes a lunch meal visiting crocodile island, the crystal cove and a stop over at the puka beach. Massage and spa are available along the white beach, locals will approach you and offer you a massage on a laid towel on the beach. You can also have your hair braid and get a tattoo on the spot.

So what are you waiting for come and visit Boracay Island and…… HAVE FUN!!!
